Weeding at the Nature Park |
|
Would you like to help pull some Garlic Mustard at the Nature Park? You would be doing service for the university and getting some fresh air at the same time!
Garlic Mustard is an invasive non-native plant that is growing in large patches along the Creekside Trail at the Nature Park. Garlic Mustard displaces native wildflowers and reduces the health of trees. If we remove the plants, we will help restore and maintain the health of our forests! The more effort we put in, the more success we will see.
If you'd like to help, e-mail Vanessa Artman, Assistant Professor, Biology Department and Nature Park Program Coordinator when you would like to go out. You can help almost anytime during the next three weeks.
