Apply to be an Ethics Intern at the Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics 


MEMORANDUM TO:  DePauw University Students    
SUBJECT:  Apply to be an Ethics Intern at the Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics 
 
Last fall DePauw dedicated the Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics (JPIE), which fosters interdisciplinary reflection on moral issues, including questions of justice and public policy, character, duty, and responsibility. An Ethics Intern program has been established in order to enrich and extend student involvement at the JPIE. In addition to Undergraduate Interns, we are also looking for a Graduate Intern. Applications to serve as an Intern during the 2008-2009 academic year are currently being accepted. The application deadline is Friday, March 7.

Also, to learn more attend an interest meeting hosted by President Bottoms at the Ethics Institute on Monday, February 25 at 4:30 p.m. Carpool rides will be available leaving from the circle drive in front of the Hub at 4:15 p.m.

Apply to be a Leadership Intern! Work one-on-one with an administrator on a daily basis and have the ability to positively impact DePauw's campus as you develop your leadership potential. In Celebration of African American History Month, the DePauw Wellness Center Presents: Yoga for the soul. Hatha yoga helps us to strengthen our muscles, tone our organs, increase flexibility and promote relaxation. Research shows doing yoga can reduce the risk of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. This event is open to all African American students at DePauw University. Please come with an empty stomach, bare feet and dress in comfortable exercise clothing.

Spanish House


Spanish House is looking for residents for the 2008-2009 school year! Spanish House is a theme community in which house members endeavor to speak Spanish as much as possible, giving students the opportunity to better immerse themselves in the language outside the classroom. Spanish House helps students develop a better command of the language and ultimately speak it with ease and fluidity. Additionally, Spanish House hosts monthly "noches de cine" (movie nights) open to all of campus, showing films in Spanish with English subtitles; we also have plans to work with CLC.

If you're a Spanish major or minor and are interested in living in Spanish House and/or want more information, please e-mail Anjali Desai by Thursday, February 21 and indicate the following:

Black Studies Colloquium
