Indiana severe weather preparedness week

A statewide tornado drill will be conducted today (March 5) at approximately 11:15 a.m., and a second drill will occur at approximately 7 p.m. this evening.  These tests should be used as times for everyone to plan, prepare and increase awareness for severe weather.

This link is for a flyer that details events and includes information pertaining to Indiana Severe Weather Preparedness Week. As stated in the flyer, the goal is to better educate people about the hazards of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, and to help everyone be prepared should severe weather occur.

Additional Emergency Procedure information can be found on our DePauw Emergency Management Web site.

Please note that our "DPU Alert" Emergency Notification system will not be activated in this exercise, however you may hear local severe weather sirens as those devices are tested.
