Want to learn how to knit and fight for a good cause? Come to Knit Knite at the Women's Center! Yarn, needles, and snacks are provided and all skill levels are welcome! We will be knitting scarves to sell to raise money for insecticide treated mosquito nets. The most effective way to prevent the number one killer of children under five in the world - malaria. We will also be knitting squares to make blankets for homeless shelters. Come out for food, friends, fun, and to make a difference!

DM is a semester long fundraising effort to donate money to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which provides to children with AIDS and their families through research and treatment programs.

DePauw Discourse

Tickets are now available for the screening of Leonardo DiCaprio’s environmental documentary, The 11th Hour, which will take place in Moore Theatre on October 4 at 8 p.m.

A limited number of screening tickets are now available to students, faculty and staff at the Green Center Box Office, the Office of Campus Activities (Union Building) and the Annual Fund Office (Charter House 2nd floor).

Screening participants will not only view The 11th Hour documentary, but also hear a brief introduction by DePauw’s Sustainability Programs Coordinator Jennifer Everett and three of the film’s experts: Bill McKibben, J. Nichols ’89 and Greg Watson.  The screening is part of DePauw Discourse 2007: Sustainability and Global Citizenship, which will take place October 4 - 6. 

All Discourse lectures and conversations are open to DePauw students.  Student reservations are required for the October 5 noon lunch with Indiana Agriculture Director Andy Miller, who will discuss sustainable agriculture.  To make a reservation by September 28, contact Tammy Gaffney at 658-4085 or tammygaffney@depauw.edu
