  1. Advertise in publications that are specifically targeted to minorities in higher education or a specific professional discipline:
  2. Bring recruitment packet to professional conferences that may attract attendance from potential applicants.

·         NASPA national and regional conferences

·         ACPA national and regional conferences

  1. Contact professional organizations or subgroups of organizations targeted for minority professionals.

·         Black Coaches Association

·         NASPA Knowledge Communities

  1. Post announcement or advertisement on any list-services or electronic bulletin boards for minorities in the profession.

 

  1. Contact (by mail or phone) undergraduate or graduate programs and/or colleagues at universities with strong records of awarding degrees to minorities in applicable fields.

 

  1. Send announcement of position opening to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

  1. Plan recruiting visits or informational presentations at undergraduate or graduate institutions to develop awareness of programs at DePauw and to build contact with students and professional colleagues to aid in the recruitment of applicants.
