"I am a senior philosophy major with a minor in French. I am from Granville, Ohio and have a twin brother here at DePauw. My time at DePauw has been diverse and I have always tried to take advantage of the unique opportunities DePauw has to offer. I am a member, and have been a member all four years, of the men's varsity swim team. I have been apart of winning the southern collegiate athletic conference championship team every year and have learned a lot through all of the hard work that goes into the sport. Apart from my involvement in athletics, I also spent a summer abroad in southern France studying for my minor in French. DePauw helped me get out there even though DePauw did not exclusively offer the program that I wanted. They hooked me up with the University of Minnesota and I went to France with a program that they offered. That experience alone changed my perspective on the world and opened my eyes to all different people and cultures. I am a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, though I live in a house across campus from my fraternity.
I am currently seeking full-time employment and have a few opportunities and interviews that I have already done as well as some interviews coming up. I am thinking of entering into the executive search business in Columbus or New York, and have interviewed with a search firm in New York and am waiting to hear back from them. I feel that DePauw has truly equipped me with a diligent work ethic and the communication and writing skills that are vital in the business world. I feel lucky to have gone to DePauw and feel confident as I am graduating and moving into the work force."
