| Scarf Sales |
Knitting for Nets scarves will be on sale in the bookstore and the Blue Door Cafe through the end of the semester. The scarves were hand-knit in Indiana, many by DePauw students and Greencastle residents. They are $10, the price of one insecticide treated mosquito net which helps prevent malaria. Malaria is the number one killer of children under five in the world but it is preventable through the use of these low-cost nets. All proceeds benefit Nothing but Nets, an organization which purchases, distributes and educates people on the use of insecticide treated mosquito nets. The scarves make great Christmas gifts! Pick one up today and help us fight malaria. |
