101 Years of Achievement

About Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc...

Kappa Alpha Psi was founded on the campus of Indiana University on January 5, 1911. The founders sought a formula that would immediately raise the sights of black collegians and stimulate them to accomplishments higher than they might have imagined. Fashioning achievement as it's purpose, Kappa Alpha Psi began uniting college men of culture, patriotism and honor in a bond of fraternity.

The Xi Rho chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was originally founded on DePauw's campus in the Spring 1991. The chapter was recently re-activated on DePauw's campus in the Fall of 2012. The fraternity does its philanthropy work through the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, which supports scholarships, after-school programs, and national projects such as Habitat for Humanity.
