Many community members want to be an ally but don't necessarily know how to best support a marginalized group. This training offers the framework to support the growth of one's allyship.
The Allyship Series aims to build to a visible group of allys among students, staff, and faculty. This series does that by raising awareness of marginalized identities through education in the trainings, and works to develop the attendees' skills to best support marginalized students, staff, and faculty on the DePauw University campus through action.
Each semester, a new training will be added to the series. Here is a list of our current sessions:
- LGBTQ 101 (debuted Fall 2016)
- Race and Ethnicity 101 (will begin Spring 2017)
