FYRA Selection Process
Interested in being a First-Year Resident Assistant for Campus Living & Community Development?
Campus Living and Community Development at DePauw University seeks to hire a diverse group of student leaders for the 2013 - 2014 First-Year Resident Assistant (FYRA) staff team. We are seeking leaders who are passionate about and committed to positively contributing to the development of healthy, inclusive residence hall communities. FYRAs work in communities that house first-year students. The FYRA appointment is for the fall and spring semesters of the 2013 - 2014 academic year with the option to add a Winter Term appointment. The position commences with intensive education and development during August 2013. All FYRAs are supervised by either a Hall or Area Coordinator, who are professional staff members who work in Campus Living and Community Development.
Qualifications for the FYRA Position
Candidates must be a full-time student for the 2013 - 2014 Academic Year and must be at least a first-semester sophomore for the Fall 2013 semester that is in good academic standing with the University. Additionally, candidates new to the Campus Living and Community Development Student Leader Staff team must commit to being on campus for the full Academic Year. Information Sessions are designed to help you learn more detailed information about our application process and the FYRA position to determine if you think this will be a great fit for your continued growth and development. The following information sessions are offered (it is recommended that you attend one (1) if you are interested in becoming an FYRA prior to filling out the FYRA application). Information sessions for students interested in learning more are happening on the dates below:

FYRA Applications will be available online here from Friday, February 1, 2013 until 4:00 PM on Friday, February, March 1, 2013.

In order to complete your application, you will need two (2) recommendations.

One must be from a faculty/administrator at DePauw University (e.g. professor, work study supervisor, etc.).

The second must be from a current student staff members in Campus Living and Community Development (FYRA, CRA or HA). The recommendation form for you to print and give you your recommenders can be found below.
