Meet The Staff

Campus Living & Community Development Office

Myrna Hernandez

Assistant Dean of Campus Life

dsc 5743Myrna has worked at DePauw since 2006. She graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Education and was a Spanish teacher upon receiving her degree. She returned to Indiana University and completed her M.S. in Education with a focus on Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. She worked in Residence Life at East Carolina University, University of Wisconsin - Madison, and Minnesota State University - Mankato before coming to DePauw. Myrna grew up in Portage, Indiana.

Greg Dillon

Assistant Dean and Director of Housing

dsc 5762Greg has worked at DePauw since fall of 1994 in many different roles. In his current role as Assistant Dean and Director of Housing he coordinates the Posse Program and housing processes. Greg was an economics major at Westminster College and received a Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Prior to coming to DePauw, Greg worked at Butler University. 

Wendy Wippich

Director of Campus Living

dsc 5721Wendy has been the worked at DePauw since Fall 2007. She earned her B.A. from DePauw with a major in Art History. After graduation, she earned her M.A. in Education, with a focus on College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) where she was a Graduate Living Center Director. After completing her graduate degree, she went on to work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Residence Director.

JC Lopez

Director of campus Life, Coordinator of multicultural greek life

dsc 5710JC has been at DePauw since the fall of 2008. He graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts concentrating in Graphic Design. After graduation, he worked as a Leadership Consultant for the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho. JC then earned his M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania where he worked in Residence Life with Living Learning Programs.

Amanda Halfacre

Area Coordinator for Upperclass Halls, UOAH and Rector Village

Amanda has worked at DePauw since October 2011. She earned her B.A. from Iowa State University with a major in Women's Studies and a minor in Sociology. After graduation, she earned her M.S. in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. Amanda is originally from Urbandale, Iowa.

 

Yug Gill

Area Coordinator for First Year Halls (Bishop Roberts, College Street and Longden HallS)

Yug started working at DePauw in the summer of 2012. He graduated from Calvin College (MI) with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. After graduation, Yug earned his M.Ed. in Education from Grand Valley State University (MI) where he also worked as an Assistant Living Center Director. After completing his Master's degree, Yug worked at Ferris State University (MI) as a Hall Director before coming to DePauw.

Eric Wolfe

Assistant director, Coordinator of fraternity life

Eric Wolfe came to DePauw as a Greek Life Coordinator in 2010 after working as Director of Community Development at the Putnam County Community Foundation and volunteering as the alumni advisor at Phi Gamma Delta.  Eric has also served as Assistant Director of Student Life, where he coordinated organization community standards, community standards hearing boards, transfer student orientation, and assisted with BASICS alcohol screening and academic standing advising.  He currently serves as Assistant Director and Coordinator of Fraternity Life where he advises the Interfraternity Council and DePauw's 10 IFC fraternities, as well as assisting with fraternity and sorority programming.  Eric and his wife, June, both graduated from DePauw where they first met during orientation week.

Maggie Hayes

Maggie is the Coordinator of Sorority Life and has worked at DePauw since the fall of 2011, formerly as the Hall Director of Lucy Hall. Maggie earned a graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University in May of 2013. Maggie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in Sociology with a minor in Leadership Studies.

Miriam Montes

Hall Coordinator, HOGATE Hall

Miriam is the Hall Coordinator for Hogate Hall and has worked at DePauw since the fall of 2013. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University.

 

Courtney Weaver

Hall Coordinator, Humbert Hall

Courtney joined the DePauw community in the fall of 2013 as Hall Coordinator for Lucy Hall. Courtney is enrolled in the Higher Education and Student Affairs master's program at Indiana University.

 

Susan Chestnut

Secretary/Program Assistant, Campus Living and Community Development

Susan joined Campus Living and Community Development after serving previously as the secretary for the Office of Student Life. She is a graduate of Greencastle High School and has worked for DePauw since the fall of 1997. She serves as support for all the staff in Campus Living and Community Development.
