Meet The Staff

Campus Living & Community Development Office

Myrna Hernandez

Director, Campus Living & Community Development/Assistant Dean of Campus Life

dsc 5743Myrna has worked at DePauw since 2006. She graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Education and was a Spanish teacher upon receiving her degree. She returned to Indiana University and completed her M.S. in Education with a focus on Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. She worked in Residence Life at East Carolina University, University of Wisconsin - Madison, and Minnesota State University - Mankato before coming to DePauw. Myrna grew up in Portage, Indiana.

Greg Dillon

Assistant Dean and Director of Housing

dsc 5762Greg has worked at DePauw since fall of 1994 in many different roles. In his current role as Assistant Dean and Director of Housing he coordinates the Posse Program and housing processes. Greg was an economics major at Westminster College and received a Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Prior to coming to DePauw, Greg worked at Butler University. 

Wendy Wippich

Assistant Director, Campus Living and Community Development

dsc 5721Wendy has been the worked at DePauw since August 2007. She earned her B.A. from DePauw with a major in Art History/Religious Studies. After graduation, she earned her M.A. in Education, with a focus on College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) where she was a Graduate Living Center Director. After completing her graduate degree, she went on to work at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Residence Director.

JC Lopez

Assistant Director, Campus Living and Community Development

dsc 5710JC has been at DePauw since the fall of 2008. He graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts concentrating in Graphic Design. After graduation, he worked as a Leadership Consultant for the National Fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho. JC then earned his M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania where he worked in Residence Life with Living Learning Programs.

Area Coordinator for Upperclass Areas

Amanda has worked at DePauw since October 2011. She earned her B.A. from Iowa State University with a major in Women's Studies and a minor in Sociology. After graduation, she earned her M.S. in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University. Amanda is originally from Urbandale, Iowa.

Area Coordinator for First Year Halls, Coordinator for Bishop Roberts, Longden, and College Street Hall

Yug started working at DePauw in the summer of 2012. He graduated from Calvin College (MI) with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. After graduation, Yug earned his M.Ed. in Education from Grand Valley State University (MI) where he also worked as an Assistant Living Center Director. After completing his Master's degree, Yug worked at Ferris State University (MI) as a Hall Director before coming to DePauw.

PJ Mitchell

Greek Life Coordinator

dcs 5664PJ has worked at DePauw University since August 2006. He earned his B.A. from DePauw with a major in Communications. Upon graduation, he earned a masters of arts in sports management from Indiana State University, while serving as a graduate assistant baseball coach for DePauw. PJ has spent the past five years working in DePauw's athletic department, functioning in various roles and has previously served as the house director for Beta Theta Pi fraternity. PJ is originally from Clarendon Hills, IL.

Eric Wolfe

Greek Life Coordinator

dsc 5603AEric is a graduate of DePauw University where he became affilitated with the Lambda Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji). He served five years as a chapter advisor for Phi Gamma Delta. Eric has been involved with the re-vitalization and recolonization of chapters in Indiana and frequently speaks at fraternity workshops and conferences. He worked for six years as the Director of Community Development for the Putnam County Community Foundation before coming to DePauw.

Maggie Hayes

Hall Coordinator, Lucy Rowland Hall

dsc 5775Maggie is Hall Coordinator for Lucy Rowland Hall and has worked at DePauw since the fall of 2011. Maggie is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Maggie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in Sociology with a minor in Leadership Studies.

Hall Coordinator, Humbert Hall

Shavonne is the Hall Coordinator for Humbert Hall and has worked at DePauw since the fall of 2012. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University. Shavonne graduated from the Purdue University where she majored in Theatre.

Hall Coordinator, Hogate Hall

Elizabeth joined the DePauw community in the fall of 2012 as Hall Coordinator for Hogate Hall.  Originally from Muskegon, MI, Elizabeth earned her B.A. from Kalamazoo College where she double-majored in Spanish and Human Development and Social Relations.  Her previous experience in higher education includes the areas of civic engagement, residential life, and orientation.  Elizabeth is enrolled in the Higher Education and Student Affairs master's program at Indiana University.

Connie Sharp

Secretary, Campus Living and Community Development

dsc 5816Connie graduated from Danville High School and has worked for the University since fall of 1997. She serves as a support for all the staff in Campus Living and Community Development.

Susan Chestnut

Secretary, Campus Living and Community Development

Susan joined Campus Living and Community Development after serving previously as the secretary for the Office of Student Life. She is a graduate of Greencastle High School and has worked for DePauw since the fall of 1997. She serves as support for all the staff in Campus Living and Community Development.
