Graduation Fair

You may order your cap, gown and other commencement-related items (announcements, diploma frames, rings) at the Graduation Fair in the University Bookstore, Memorial Student Union, March 7 & 8, 10 am - 4 pm.

Caps and gowns may be ordered from the University Bookstore during the Graduation Fair and in the weeks leading up to Commencement.

Commencement Photography

Commencement photography is provided by GradImages. Professional photographers will shoot you at several locations--as you begin to walk across the stage, as you receive your diploma and shake the President's hand, and as you leave the stage, where you pause in front of a patriotic backdrop and display your diploma with all the appropriate signatures. Following the ceremony you will be able to login to the GradImages website, view your photos, and order the ones you want to keep forever. 

GradImages has a nice feature that allows you to register ahead of time and enter the emails of others--grandparents, aunts, uncles--who might want to buy pictures of you. If you would like to do this just go to www.gradimages.com and click on the Pre-Event Email Registration link. If you pre-register, you'll get $5 off your orders of over $25.

Announcements, Diploma Frames, etc.

You may order other merchandise at the Graduation Fair or by going to the Balfour website. There are many other companies that will sell you these items. There is no "official" DePauw announcement or diploma frame. If you are ordering a frame, the size of our diplomas is 10" X 8". They are printed in a landscape layout (i.e., the width is 10", the height is 8"). If you are ordering announcements from a company other than Balfour, make sure you get the degree right. The degrees we award are Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Arts, and Bachelor of Music Education. We don't award a Bachelor of Science degree, even if your major is in a science. Be sure to check the Commencement time on the announcement. Many of these companies keep the same announcement template from one year to the next and it might have 1:00 p.m. as the Commencement time.
