At the beginning and end of official University breaks, DePauw offers a shuttle service to and from the Indianapolis Airport (and upon request, the Indianapolis Greyhound Bus/Train station). For students traveling via Megabus, the stop is a short six block walk from the Greyhound Station. Students who wish to use this shuttle are advised to consult the shuttle schedule prior to booking any airline reservations. Reservation requests can be made online. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance. Shuttle-related inquiries may be directed to email@example.com or 765-658-4270.
PUTNAM COUNTY RURAL TRANSIT
Putnam County Rural Transit is available to Putnam County residents and DePauw University students, staff, and faculty. The Greencastle route schedule can be found here.
To schedule rides to any other location in Greencastle, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, passengers may call 765-8481508, at least 24 hours in advance, to schedule. Putnam County Rural Transit also provides a vehicle that is ADA compliant with a wheelchair lift.
The Enterprise CarShare program is available to students 18 and over. To register visit the Enterprise Carshare Website. There are two CarShare vehicles located on the DePauw University Campus. One car is parked at the Women's Center Parking lot and the second car is parked in the lot between Olin and Harrison Hall. Students can receive $35 in driving credit. Rates (fuel included) are:
Visit the e-Services Need A Ride Bulletin to post an ad stating that you are in need of a ride or to find someone offering a ride. Follow the link to e-Services, under the DePauw Classifieds Bulletin Board to the top right of the screen click on "View the DePauw Classifieds". Next click on the "Need A Ride" section. From here you can view students, staff, and community members offering rides. To post that you are in need of a ride, simply click on "Post A New Message" at the top of the screen and create your message.
