Season Recap
Game 9 (2005 Monon Bell Classic): DePauw University 14, Wabash College Little Giants

DePauw conceded ownership of the Bell to the visiting Little
Giants after difficulty getting their running game established. The loss
prevented the Tigers from being considered for a first-ever chance at
the NCAA D3 tournament. DePauw finished the season at 7-2 and 5-0 in the

Game 8: DePauw University 60, Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech
Engineers 21
DePauw ran over the Engineers, posting large numbers against a
team that had gone 5-3 coming into the game. The win clinched the SCAC
title for the Tigers, who share the honor with Trinity. It was a strong performance on both
sides of the ball, with the offense and defense each gaining tremendous
momentum going into the final game of the season.

Game 7: DePauw University Tigers 17, Centre College Colonels 7
DePauw defeated Centre in front of the
home crowd for Old Gold Day last Saturday. The Tiger victory would kept
the team undefeated in conference play, where they are currently tied
with Trinity atop the SCAC. It was again DePauw's defense that led the
team to victory with a late-game 4-down stand 4 yards out from the
Centre goal that kept the Colonels from scoring their second touchdown
that would have tied the game.

Game 6: DePauw University Tigers 51, Millsaps College Majors 14
DePauw put up its 500th all-time
win by defeating Millsaps 51-14. The Tigers controlled the game from the
opening play. QB Ross Wiethoff had a particularly good game, with 103
yards rushing and 205 yards passing. The victory puts DePauw at 5-1
overall and 3-0 in the SCAC, where they are currently ranked #1.

Game 5: DePauw University Tigers 7, Rhodes College Lynx 3
DePauw took down Rhodes 7-3 in the
Tigers' fourth straight victory. Once again, the Tiger defense was the
big story, with senior defensive end Dustin Hertel cited as the SCAC
co-Defensive Player of the Week. The win leaves the Tigers at 4-1
overall and 2-0 in the SCAC.

Game 4: DePauw University Tigers 34, University of the South-Sewanne
0
DePauw handily defeated Sewanee in
their conference opener Saturday. DePauw's defense kept Sewanee out of
the end zone, while sophomore Jeremiah Marks set multiple team records
on offense. The win leaves the Tigers at 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the SCAC.

Game 3: DePauw University Tigers 33, University of Chicago Maroons 9
DePauw moved above .500 by beating
the visiting Maroons in front of a Family Weekend crowd this Saturday.
The Tigers posted 444 yards of offense against the struggling Maroons,
who dropped to 0-4.

Game 2: DePauw University Tiger 38, Hope College Flying Dutchmen 12
DePauw evened their record at 1-1
this Saturday by defeating Hope College. It was all Tigers in the first
half, and the team went into the locker room up 35-0. The Flying
Dutchmen rallied in the second half but were not match for DePauw's
powerhouse offense.

Game
1: DePauw University Tigers 26, Wesley College Wolverines 31
DePauw Tiger Football opened the 2005 season last Saturday afternoon at
home against Wesley. New head coach Tim Robbins and the Tigers were
unable to overcome the Wolverines' early lead. Ross Wiethoff threw a
possible touchdown pass into the end zone as time ran out, but it was
intercepted.
