Station Tour: Sports Desk
The Sports
Desk is very similar to the News Desk. The sportscasters have access to
national sports stories from the Associated Press. The same computer is
used to write local stories. An added feature of the Sports Desk is the
recording equipment (located just to the right of the area pictured). Here
people are able to record phone calls, gather sound from the AP Wire, as
well as prepare sound for stories.
Just to the left is the entrance to the
Bullpen and across the room is the
News Desk.
