Actors from the London Stage KING LEAR November 2009 The five-member troupe of British actors performed a stripped-down, no-nonsense text-centered version of one of Shakespeare's most well-known but seldom performed tragedies. Terence Wilton was featured in the title role of the aging king without a kingdom, while Rina Mahoney portrayed his maligned daughter Cordelia. Richard Neale, Caroline Devlin and Dale Rapley completed the ensemble, all playing multiple roles. The performance of King Lear was part of a week-long Arts Fest residency at DePauw by the Actors From the London Stage, during which time the five actors visited sixteen DePauw classes and a college class at the Putnamville Correctional Facility and conducted a free workshop on acting Shakespeare.
