Winter Term Task Force: Charge

For the 2006-2007 academic year, the Winter Term Task Force will be charged to do the following:

  • Develop a comprehensive assessment process that allows for a thorough examination of the on campus Winter Term culture.

  • Examine all relevant policies and procedures related to Winter Term.

  • Considering the new Winter Term structure that allows first-year students to leave campus during WT, make recommendations for creating a safer, healthier on campus Winter Term culture.

  • Study the impact of the new change and make recommendations for necessary modifications.  

  • Study and evaluate the University’s efforts to support first-year students in developing plans to productively spend their Winter Term.

  • Make recommendations and work with relevant constituents to provide appropriate support for Greek organizations to lower their risk during Winter Term.

  • Evaluate current co-curricular efforts that complement the experiential priority of Winter Term. Include a cost-benefit analysis of staff work load.
