Executive Producer of Student Television

The Executive Producer (EP) is the second in command, and would step in as General Manager of the station if the current GM cannot fulfill duties. The EP works very closely with the GM on administrative duties for D3TV. He/she oversees all of the station’s show producers, and works closely with the Directors of Television Operations and Engineering on maintaining student produced television shows. The Executive Producer organizes special events so that the Directors of Television Operations and Engineering can tape them. The Executive Producer oversees the Student Engineers. The EP must have editing and production skills, and is required have gone through engineer training within one month of accepting the position of EP. They must also know how to work the operations playback.

Job tasks include

• Chair producer meetings
• Chair student engineer meetings
• Prepares the D3TV Board Application each semester
• Serves as a Production Advisor
• Compiles minutes from board meetings
• Chairs board meetings in the absence of the GM
