Together, the Directors of Television Operations and Engineering maintain the production and editing facilities. They work closely with the Executive Producer to oversee D3TV student shows. They are also in charge of taping, or assigning someone to tape special events organized by the EP. The Directors of Television Operations and Engineering produce station promos and commercials. They are also required to have more than basic production and editing skills, and they must have engineer training. They also work very closely with Chief Engineer Greg Stephan and Director of Operations Larry Abed.
