Rules and Regulations
Legal or trade names must be used to identify the underwriter.
All underwriting copy, including slogans, is subject to the approval of the station manager and promotions directors of D3TV.
Underwriting is support for current programs/marathon at D3TV. Financial support in no way implies that underwriters may influence program content or programming decisions.
Corporate, non-promotional slogans may be used in underwriting acknowledgements if they are in well-established use by the business or organization and the wording stays within the spirits of the following guidelines and FCC regulations.
Guidelines
Any or all of the following may be used in acknowledgement copy
- Telephone number, email address, web site and location of business or area served
- Days of operation
- A listing of up to three (3) products or services
- Product origin
- Intended use of product
- Product content
- Form of delivery, or method of preparation
None of the following may be used in acknowledgement copy
- Qualitative language (great, wonderful, handcrafted)
- Comparative language (better, tastiest, most)
- "Calls to Action" (call today, come by)
- Location of business using other businesses as a reference (located next to or nearby)
- Number of years in business (serving the community for over 20 years)
- First person statements (I urge you to...)
- Second person statements (You can stop by...)
