The Rev. Dr. Brenda J. Stiers earned a B.A. from DePauw in l960, Master of Divinity from Yale University in l983 and Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1991.
Stiers is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and has served as executive director of the Council of Churches and Synagogues in Fairfield County, Conn., and the YWCA of Greenwich, Conn. She served the Riverside Church in New York City as executive minister. She was adjunct professor of pastoral theology at Yale Divinity School for 10 years, teaching in the area of ministry and gerontology.
She is married to the Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Stiers ’60 and has two children, Gretchen ’84 and Heather.
