Michael Gough

Expertise: Instructional technology consulting & pedagogical support, Tablet PC pedagogical support, technical training, web design, and Moodle.

Biography: Prior to coming to DePauw, Michael worked as an instructional technologist at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. There he gained diverse experience in Technology ranging from supporting Tri-State’s Tablet PC initiative, technical training, and supporting Blackboard and DyKnow. Michael is also an experienced web developer and having designed the website www.bradleygoughdiamonds.com and administrating a blog on technology www.thewatercooler.org. Michael earned his B.A. from DePauw in 2005. In addition to instructional technology, Michael enjoys learning to play guitar, working on projects in his new garage, and experimenting with new technologies.

Fun Fact: Michael has experience wiring a whole house for electrical, phone, and data.

Lynda LaRoche

Biography: Lynda joined FITS in September 2001. She earned an associate of applied science degree in Computer Information Systems from IVY Tech State College in December 2005. Her greatest achievement is being a mom to three terrific sons – a U.S. Marine, an outdoorsman and a video game enthusiast. Lynda enjoys spending time with her kids, cooking, writing, working on crossword puzzles and taking walks on the beach (which can be a challenge living in Indiana).

Fun Fact: Lynda once took tae-kwon-do lessons with her children.

 

Roni Pejril

Expertise: Web2.0 Applications, Moodle, sound/multimedia design, online audio delivery.

Biography: Roni joined FITS in 2006, and previously taught music and humanities courses for the City Colleges of Chicago while acting as an Instructional Technology Liaison for other faculty members. She received degrees in Music Composition from the University of Illinois and Princeton University, and specialized in creative applications of digital technologies. Educational uses of web-based technologies, including blogging, podcasting, social bookmarking and social networking are among topics Roni provides consultations and workshops. An active jazz pianist and composer, she also plays in local ensembles, including the Tiger Pep Band. Roni also teaches DePauw courses in Music Technology for the School of Music.

Fun Fact: Roni collects rabbit-related things (but not rabbits).

Roni Pejril

Donnie Sendelbach,

Biography: As a graduate of Grinnell College, Donnie Sendelbach had long advocated liberal arts education before starting the position of Director of Instructional and Learning Services and Director of the Information Technology Associates Program at DePauw University in November 2008. Before working in instructional technology at Lake Forest College, Lawrence University and Bard College, Donnie taught courses in Russian language and literature along with English as a Second Language for several years.  With an Ohio State Ph.D. in Slavic Literatures concentrating on Boris Pasternak’s poetry and prose, Donnie, despite living in Indiana, will always be a Buckeye!

With her new position at DePauw, Donnie can blend her passion for teaching with innovations in technology to facilitate teaching and learning both within and beyond the classroom. She looks forward to continuing to meet faculty, staff and students as she shapes a vision for instructional technology on campus.  She enjoys the intellectual rigor that DePauw offers along with the pedagogical creativity, including the use of instructional technology.  After endeavoring to recreate a program similar to ITAP on other campuses, Donnie perceives many opportunities for growth within ITAP while tightening its academic components.

Fun fact: Donnie enjoys wine tastings and spicy ethnic food—and she’s looking for suggestions in Central Indiana!

Aaron 

Aaron Urbanski,

Expertise: Music technology, digital audio applications, live sound/recording.

Biography: Aaron came to DePauw in 2008 after earning his B.A. in Music from Bowling Green State University, where he also spent time working as a student engineer running house sound, audio, and video recording equipment for student and faculty performances. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Music Technology at IUPUI. Aaron's various other interests include learning jazz piano, having fun with synthesizers, and listening to any and all kinds of music.

Fun fact: Aaron enjoys finding ways to play old video games on new hardware.

Beth Wilkerson

Expertise: Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Web Programming (HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS), Web Mapping (MapServer), Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, MacOSX, Structured and Object Oriented Programming.

Biography: Beth's formal education was focused in the area of Applied Mathematics with emphasis on Computer Science and Physics. She obtained a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Murray State University ( Murray, KY) in 1988 and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois ( Champaign, IL) in 1990. After receiving her post-graduate degree, she spent 11+ years as a Software Engineer in the Oilfield Services Industry programming 2D and 3D seismic interpretation/visualization systems. At present, in addition to being the FITS GIS Specialist, Beth is also the project programmer for the CGMA (Collaboratory for GIS and Mediterranean Archaeology) project. Her hobbies include singing, sewing, swimming, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Fun Fact: Beth has a relatively large antique sad iron trivet collection.
