FITS Winter Term Workshop Events January 2008

The FITS Winter Term workshop is a combination of individualized support and planned events centered on certain topics. All of the Winter Term events are listed and color coded below. Colleagues with project ideas should email michaelgough@depauw.edu or veronicapejril@depauw.edu to schedule individualized project support. Projects need not fit into one of the workshop tracks listed below. Move your mouse over the events to see a description. Participants may attend as few or as many sessions as they like, but please RSVP to the event coordinator if you plan on attending.

Description: This will be a hands on session in which attendees will explore how to use the assignment submission features in Moodle by submitting mock assignments to the workshop course. Description: A hands on look at all the different types of discussion forums. Participants will contribute to discussion forums in real time and learn how to set up forums for their course. Description: Moodle's web pages and Vikkis offer several possibilities for organizing and presenting a course. Wikis can be used in a variety of ways from group collaboration to online signup sheets.
