FITS Services

Faculty Instructional Technology Support (FITS) provides consulting & technical support for faculty who wish to explore & develop uses of instructional technology into their teaching.

FITS is the faculty-focused component of the Instructional & Learning Services division of Library & Information Services.

We offer . . .

  • One-on-one consulting to explore ideas about using a technology component in a class
  • Workshops, seminars, and forums for faculty to discuss and learn about technology in instruction
  • A Toy Box: Equipment and software in the FITS Center for instructors to experiment with
  • Team-based support for instructional technology projects
  • "Small project" support
  • A Stable of qualified ITAP Associates who work on special projects with faculty and academic departments
  • Specialized support as requested
  • Coordination with other campus resources (Student Technology Support and Information Services) to arrange workshops for students using specific technologies in a class (e.g., web authoring, presentations, statistical programs, spreadsheets, online discussion tools, etc.)
