9th Annual FITS Summer Workshop
(May 29th - June 1st and June 4th, 2007)

The 9th annual FITS Summer Workshop (May 29th - June 1st and June 4th) is a mini-project based program for which faculty members are invited to submit a proposal. It is designed to help faculty members link methods to course goals. As in the past, it offers a series of plenary sessions, discussion groups, and mini-courses focused on developing skills you can use to create an engaging & effective learning environment in the classroom.

Participants will have plenty of structured time to work on projects in reserved facilities, which can also be used for rehearsals and discussion groups. Additionally, a staff that includes instructional technologists is available for one-on-one assistance during your workshop experience.

By the end of the workshop, participants will acquire skills and develop a plan to implement effective use of technology for some aspect of a course you teach. You will also become familiar with available resources (staff, hardware, and software) to support your project after the workshop is over.

If you are interested in discussing a project idea, contact Sherry Mou (x5092 or smou@depauw.edu) or another member of the FITS team.
