10th Annual FITS Summer Workshop
May 27th - 30th and June 2nd

The 10th annual FITS Summer Workshop is a mini-project based program for which faculty members are invited to submit a proposal. It is designed to help faculty members link methods to course goals. As in the past, it offers a series of plenary sessions, discussion groups, and mini-courses focused on developing skills you can use to create an engaging & effective learning environment in the classroom.

Participants will have plenty of structured time to work on projects in reserved facilities, which can also be used for rehearsals and discussion groups. Additionally, instructional technologists are available for one-on-one assistance during your workshop experience.

This is also a great time to explore new technologies such as Moodle, digital assessment of assignments, GIS, and leveraging the Web for your curriculum, to name a few.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a good start on a sustainable course or research project. You will also become familiar with available resources (staff, hardware, and software) to support your project after the workshop is over. If you have an idea and would like to discuss it with us before submitting, please contact Lynda LaRoche at x6600 or email llaroche@depauw.edu.
