| 11th Annual FITS Summer Workshop (May 26th - 29th and June 1st, 2009)
***June 2, 2009 - Browse to a showcase of faculty projects for additional information. *** The 11th annual FITS Summer Workshop (May 26th - 29th and June 1st) is a mini-project based program for which faculty members are invited to submit a proposal. It is designed to help faculty members link methods to course goals. As in the past, the workshop offers a series of plenary sessions, discussion groups, and mini-courses focused on developing skills you can use to create an engaging and effective learning environment in the classroom. Participants will have plenty of structured time to work on projects in reserved facilities, which can also be used for rehearsals and discussion groups. Additionally, a staff that includes instructional technologists is available for one-on-one assistance during your workshop experience. By the end of the workshop, participants will acquire skills and develop a plan to implement effective use of technology for some aspect of a course you teach. You will also become familiar with available resources (staff, hardware, and software) to support your project after the workshop is over. If you are interested in discussing a project idea, contact Donnie Sendelbach (x4364 or donniesendelbach@depauw.edu) or another member of the FITS team. |
