DePauw Community Service Student Leadership

Based in the Hartman House, the student leaders of DCS coordinate publicity, recruitment, and training for each program. DCS hosts a campus-wide registration fair each semester where students can speak with representatives from each program and register to become a volunteer. 

DePauw Community Service is led by a three member Executive Board.  The Student Director position is also a Hartman House Civic Intern position.  The other positions are Assistant Director of Civic Engagement and Assistant Director of Publicity and Events . The Executive Board is interviewed and selected by the outgoing Executive Board and the Assistant Director of the Hartman House.  The   Executive Board serves a full school year.

Student Coordinators for individual programs are also selected through an application and interview process conducted by the Executive Board and the Assistant Director in April.  Their positions also run the duration of the school year. DCS Coordinators are responsible for maintaining a successful program that serves the Greencastle/Putnam County community and allows students to grow through service. As a DCS Coordinator, you would serve as a liaison to both the volunteers and the Executive Board. The DCS Coordinator position is a year-long time commitment. Coordinator applications are due ASAP!
