Civic FellowsChartered in 1997, the Civic Fellows program is a unique service-based leadership development program that cultivates a lifelong commitment to leadership on civic issues. The program requires regular attendance at meetings, participation in group service projects, and strongly recommends individual service as well. Civic Fellows is well known on campus for organizing Angel Tree each holiday season. The program seeks a four year commitment from members. First-year students who have demonstrated an outstanding record in community service during high school may apply for membership in the fall. Occasionally, upperclass students will be invited to join as well.

Civic Fellows is led by a four member Executive Board. The President position is also a Hartman House Civic Intern position. The other positions are Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Civic Fellows members may announce their candidacy for positions in late April. The Executive Board is elected by their peers at the end of each academic year. Civic Fellows is supervised by the Coordinator of Community Service and Outreach.
