Serving as Assistant Director of the Bonnors Scholars Program, Jean assists the 80 students in the Bonner program in securing their volunteer placements, communicates with community partner agencies, coordinates Bonner meetings and convocations, and tracks scholarship payments. Prior to joining the Hartman House staff in October, 1998, Jean was the Director of Membership and Chapter Relations for the Society of Professional Journalists, a national nonprofit association formerly headquartered in Greencastle. She graduated from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana with a major in psychology. Jean is a lifelong resident of the Greencastle area and currently lives with her husband, Doy, and 3-year-old daughter, Hannah, in a rural area near Eminence, Indiana (approximately 20 miles from Greencastle).
