International Faculty & Scholars

The Office of International Education & Off-Campus Study provides immigration assistance to non-U.S. citizens and permanent residents. The University files petitions or provides immigration documents for those in H, TN or J status. While the University does not file permanent residency petitions, it has a liaison that works with both the employee and the firm to ensure that these applications are submitted in a complete and timely manner.

If you are a new employee, it is your responsibility to contact the international student and scholar adviser within two weeks of accepting the employment offer. Depending on your individual situation, you will need to submit certain immigration documents, transcripts, diplomas and other information. Preparing some applications can take a considerable amount of time so please plan accordingly.

On the Academic Affairs website, you will find information about policies, expectations, calendars, and resources for advising students and for new faculty members and and more. As you prepare to arrive to DePauw University the following pages might also be helpful to you:

You will also find some useful links on the Frequently Asked Question page.

Questions about immigration matters can be directed to Rhonda Hinkle-Shabbir, Associate Director of International Education, Off-Campus Study and Winter Term.
