Welcome to DePauw!
Orientation promises to be one of the most exciting and hectic times of your college life. Not only will you meet many of the students, faculty and staff members who make up the DePauw community, but you will also review your class schedule, learn your way around campus and begin to make DePauw your home. Your mentor, resident assistant, academic advisor and international student advisor will all serve as primary resources to help you during orientation and throughout your first year at DePauw.
All new international students are required to participate in the International Student Orientation that runs from Saturday, August 15-21, 2009. In addition, international students are also required to take part in the First-Year Student Orientation that runs from Saturday, August 22- 25, 2009.
The schedule of orientation events is designed to help you meet the requirements of orientation. There are many meetings and events scheduled during the week. Please read all the information carefully and keep your orientation schedule handy so you will stay organized when you arrive on campus. All students should familiarize themselves with the Student Handbook located on DePauw’s website at http://www.depauw.edu/univ/handbooks/. The student Handbook contains useful information for students, including University policies, information about community standards and many other resources available to students.
Please ask questions. The staff at the Center for International and Experiential Education can respond to many of your questions. Feel free to stop by the office at the Durham House or call 765-658-4355
On behalf of the CIEE, we welcome you to DePauw University. We are looking forward to working with you to make your experience here a memorable one.
