Have you heard of the Fulbright Scholarship, the Marshall Scholarship, or the Rotary Scholarship? Each of these, plus many more, are internationally competitive scholarships, which support graduate study or research abroad in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Recipients often become leaders in their fields of study and in their communities.

Things to Consider:

  1. Each scholarship has a DePauw advisor.
  2. Read scholarship information carefully and attend information meetings.
  3. Talk with advisors and professors EARLY (6 months to a year in advance of the deadline).
  4. Work on your portfolio of activities and achievements.
  5. Leave yourself time to do multiple drafts of your application.
  6. Take graduate school entrance exams.
  7. START EARLY!
