The Presidential Search Committee met during Old Gold Weekend to review applications, narrowing the applicant list to approximately a dozen candidates. First round interviews are scheduled to be held in November.

Two finalists for DePauw University's presidency will make campus visits during the first week of February announced, Sarah Reese Wallace, chair of the presidential search committee. "I am thrilled to be able to introduce these two distinguished individuals to the DePauw community," says Wallace, a 1976 graduate of the University. "As this process, which began nine months ago, enters its final phase, I believe students, faculty, alumni, staff and friends of DePauw will share my excitement in getting to know these dynamic candidates."

The search for DePauw's next president enters its final stage. Wallace’s committee of 17 individuals (which includes nine other Trustees, four faculty members, two students and one administrator) now enters the last phase of its work. In the next few weeks, the group will come together to discuss and distill all of the information that has been collected about the two finalists and make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees about who the next president of DePauw should be. The Trustees will then take a vote and a final announcement will be made.
