Awards
The past couple of years have seen WGRE and its students receive a number of notable recognitions. Many of these are listed bellow.

WGRE Named #3 Best College Radio Station
WGRE has been ranked at #3 on the Princeton Review's list of the Best College Radio Stations as of 8/2006! This marks nine years in a row that we have scored in the Top Ten in this category. WGRE would like to thank all our DJs, listeners, directors, and supporters both past and present for helping us achieve this accolade.
 

WGRE Student Pulls in Two Big Awards
Nicole Pence won the Indiana Broadcasters Association Scholarship, worth $2,000, in April 2005. The award is given to deserving high school and college students pursuing an education in broadcasting.

She also received the Broadcast Education Association's Alexander Tanger Scholarship. Pence collected the award, which carries with it a $5000 award, at the BEA's 50th annual convention last spring in Las Vegas. Pence is a communication major who studied off-campus in Fall 2004 as an intern at FOX News network in Washington, DC.

WGRE Students Place in Top 3 for IASB Awards
The Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB) has recognized the following WGRE students for their contributions to student radio. Congratulations to them!
