WGRE Sports: Monon Bell Game 2004

The Battle for the Monon Bell
DePauw 14, Wabash 7

Brian Gustin        Matt Barwise         Teddy Tutson

It was the final game of the regular season for the Tigers and WGRE was there for you. Nearly 500 people checked WGRE.org for updates and to tune in as the Tigers took on the Little Giants and won back the Bell. The Pre-Game show opened our coverage at 10:30am. Brian Gustin, Matt Barwise, and Teddy Tutson had the call while Dan Lucero and Liz Farrelly were on the sidelines.

DePauw took down the Wabash Little Giants 14-7, owing to a 41-yard run by Ross Wiethoff and an interception at the goal line that lead to a score. Wabash converted on their second trip to the Red Zone for a TD, but it was not enough to overcome the momentum of the 8-2 Tigers.
