Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority
904 S. College Ave.
Greencastle, Indiana 46135
Kappa Alpha Theta was founded at DePauw in 1870, just a few years after Indiana Asbury officially opened its doors to women (1867). Kappa Alpha Theta became the first women's Greek-letter fraternity, with Indiana Asbury as home to the Alpha Chapter. Theta's founders became the first females to graduate from Indiana Asbury. In 2006, the Indiana Historical Bureau listed Kappa Alpha Theta and their current facility with the honor of a historical marker. The original facility has been demolished however, but their current structure was built after 1940.
