GLOBAL FIND AND REPLACE WITH FRONT PAGE 2002

When you need to replace text in your web pages -- like a broken link, for example, use the global find a replace function in Microsoft Front Page.

  1. Click on Edit | Replace.

  2. Enter the text you want to find in the Find what: text box.  For example, "Arial".

  3. Enter the text you want to insert in the Replace with: text box.  For example, "Verdana".

  4. Under Search Options, Find where:, click the All pages radio button.

  5. Under Search Options, Options:, click the Find in HTML checkbox.

  6. Click Find in Web.

Note:  The Find and Replace window lists the pages that contain the Find what: text.

  7. Double-Click the first page in the list.  FrontPage will open the HTML view.

  8. In the Replace window, click Replace All.

  9. The "Continue with next document?" window appears.  Click Next Document.

  10. Repeat step 9 until all pages have been edited.
