More Information:

Privet is a non-native invasive plant species.  It outcompetes and displaces native vegetation.  It reproduces both sexually and asexually.  Through sexual reproduction, privet produces seeds that are dispersed by wind and animals.  Seeds readily germinate and plants rapidly colonize disturbed soil.  It reproduces asexually through root suckers.  It can be controlled through cutting and herbicide application.
