David Dietz serves as a Program Officer in the NBA's Social Responsibility and Player Programs group, where he oversees a variety of league platforms, including NBAVoices, the NBA's initiative to address social injustice, promote inclusion, and bridge divides in our communities. Before joining the NBA, David was a Special Assistant in the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, where he served as President Obama's liaison to athletes, teams, and leagues. Prior to the White House, David served on The President's Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force and worked for the 2012 Obama-Biden campaign in Chicago. A native Hoosier and graduate of DePauw University, David got his professional start in early 2008 as a volunteer for then Senator Obama's campaign in Iowa.
