2018 Indiana High School Ethics Bowl Competition
Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Prindle Institute for Ethics 9:30 AM - 5 PM
The Prindle Institute is excited to host the third annual Indiana High School Ethics Bowl competition. Last year, teams from Avon High School, Bloomington North High School, Fishers High School, Greencastle High School, Cloverdale High School and Herron High School competed for the opportunity to attend the national ethics bowl competition, hosted by the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill.
Ethics bowl is a debate-style competition that focuses on contemporary moral problems. Unlike typical debate competitions, the judging criterion focuses more on key elements of constructing a well-reasoned argument in a civil manner. Teams of 3-5 students will analyze case studies and submit recommendations as to what the protagonists ethically ought to do. For more information, view the National High School Ethics Bowl webpage.
