1) What have you been up to since graduating DePauw?
I completed law school at Indiana University, Maurer School of Law. I worked as a Summer Associate at Bricker & Eckler in Columbus, Ohio. I now work as an Associate at Bricker & Eckler LLP.
2) What sorts of ethical dilemmas have you encountered, or sought to resolve, in your career or studies?
There is something of an inherent ethical conflict in law school in that many students enter hoping to do public interest work. In school, however, the main jobs that are advertised (and the jobs that seem to have the prestige) are corporate-type jobs. It thus can be hard to continue looking towards public interest work. Right now I mostly draft routine court documents so I haven't encountered any ethical dilemmas at work yet. I would love to give more detailed answers, but I really don't do high-enough level work to encounter many dilemmas in the actual work and I really enjoy the people I work with.
I loved the internship so much that I spent two years working as the Graduate Fellow at Prindle.
