April 9, 2019

Mark Boling '79 visited DePauw on April 8-10, 2019 to present a series of talks to the Department of Geosciences and to a more general audience for the McDermond Center.  Mark first spoke the Geoscience students on "Subsurface Risks Associated with Hydraulic Fracturing Operations" on April 9, and then spoke to Tim Cope's GEOS 117:  Weather, Climate, & Climate Change course about "The Paris Agreement, the Carbon Budget, and the Future of Oil and Gas" on April 10.  Both talks were very informative and thought-provoking.

Mark also shared his experiences as president of V+ Development Solutions (a division of Southwestern Energy Company) and his work as founder and CEO of 2C Energy (a company dedicated to providing low-carbon energy solutions to address the challenges of climate change).

We would like to thank Mark for taking the time to speak with us!
