GEOS WT Course - Sustainability in Our Backyard

Drs. Jennifer Everett (Philosophy) and Jeanette Pope (Geosciences) will be offering an on-campus Winter Term course that explores local manifestations of environmental problems as well as ongoing sustainability initiatives in our region by investigating both their empirical and their ethical dimensions. The course will use diverse approaches (e.g., field trips, guest speakers, readings/writings/discussions/presentations, etc.) to allow participants to learn more about issues concerning waste, consumption, water, energy, and/or food systems.
