Anne Harris

Professor of Art History

Anne Harris is a medievalist who teaches in the Department of Art and Art History. A former Director of DePauw's Women's Studies program and currently Johnson Family University Professor, she studied at Agnes Scott College and at the University of Chicago. Her teaching and research interests include stained glass and medieval popular culture, female patronage of moral education, gender in Arthurian legends, monsters, and medieval ecology.  All of these areas of inquiry are invigorated by feminist and post-colonial theory, and questions of voice, agency, perception, representation, identity, hybridity, and power.
