Julia Bruggeman
Julia came to DePauw in the fall of 1999 after completing her doctoral work at Georgetown University in Washington DC. She wrote a dissertation on state-regulated prostitution in Hamburg, Germany, in the decades leading up to the First World War. She is completing revisions on a book-version of that project. At DePauw, Julia teaches courses in modern European history, including European women's history.
