María Soledad Forcadell

Soledad

María Soledad Forcadell, Assistant Professor in the Modern Languages Department, has a BA from Universidad Nacional de Rio Cuarto (Argentina) and a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from Washington University in Saint Louis with a Graduate Certificate in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Before coming to DePauw she taught Spanish language, literature and culture at Earlham College and the University of Notre Dame.

Twenty first century Latin American prose fiction is Forcadell’s primary area of expertise. Her current research focuses on contemporary South Cone literature and spatial representations of wealth and poverty.
