We are excited that you are planning a visit to DePauw University. Details below on available options will help you prepare for your upcoming visit. In addition to individual visits, we also offer pre-planned visit events throughout the year and welcome group visits.
Setting up your visit to DePauw
Let’s get your visit scheduled!
The Office of Admission, located at 204 E. Seminary St., is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon on select Saturdays during the academic year.
Once you have selected a day to visit, you have the opportunity to personalize your schedule. Not all activities are available on any given day, and some activities are limited to high school seniors, but we will accommodate your requests to the best of our ability.
Attend an information session and take a campus tour.
Begin your visit with a 30-minute information session about DePauw before taking a 60 to 75 minute walking tour of campus with one of our admission ambassadors. Wear comfortable shoes and come prepared for the possibility of inclement weather.
We recommend you schedule an interview, though it’s not required. It’s a great way for us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about DePauw. Interviews last 30 to 45 minutes and are either with an admission counselor or admission intern.
Visit a class
We encourage you to sit in on a class to see for yourself the invigorating discussions and comfortable learning environment for which DePauw is known. With the rhythm of our campus you'll want to select the morning arrival time to allow for a classroom visit in your schedule.
We match you with a class in your area of interest. Our professors are excited to welcome you, and invite you to participate if you so wish.
Meet with a faculty member
Seniors are welcome to request a one-on-one meeting with a professor in your area of academic interest to get details on courses, student experiences and opportunities.
Seniors are welcome to visit overnight most Sundays through Thursdays during the academic year. We require advance notice of 10 days for planning purposes. Visit activities are scheduled for the day following the overnight stay. Plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow and toiletries. You are required to fill out a Code of Conduct/Parental Permission form prior to the visit (details will be sent at the time the overnight is scheduled).
Meet with a coach
Planning to play D3 athletics? Begin your dialogue with our coaches by completing an athletic questionnaire and then connect with them during your visit.
Meet honor scholars and fellows
Seniors who want to explore one of our four Honor Scholar and Fellows Programs may request a 30-minute meeting to learn more.
Have lunch in Hoover Dining Hall
If your travel plans allow, have lunch on us. Our all-you-care-to-eat facility showcases rotating menus of items made from scratch, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for every meal.
