SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK: MACBETH

Saturday, sept. 1 | 7 P.M.
theta gardens, green center for the performing arts

The Tragedy of Macbeth is one of William Shakespeare’s most popular and timeless works. Consumed by ambition, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth go to bloody lengths to obtain and secure the Scottish throne for themselves. What ensues in their pursuit of the throne will ensure that Scotland will never be the same again. The play dramatises the physical and psychological effects of those that recklessly seek power for their own benefit, spanning from an individual context to the context of an entire nation. Complete with an ensemble of cunning witches, murder most foul, and the appearance of a drunk idiot- this play has something to offer for everyone.
