This is a once-a-year opportunity to be guided in delivering the words of Shakespeare by one of this country's most respected and awarded teachers of Shakespeare, Kevin Coleman of Shakespeare & Company.  A maximum of 8 monologues will be workshopped, so if you want to be sure you'll get to work, email gfenlon@depauw.edu in advance. Come prepared with 15-25 lines of  Shakespeare text:  memorized is best, but not required. No maximum on spectators. Open to all students and community members.

Engaging melodies, rich harmonies and orchestral textures describe Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 3, which came 30 years after his second symphony. Italian conductor Daniele Rustioni will lead the ISO through the nostalgic Symphony No. 3 and Respighi’s symphonic poem Fountains of Rome. Cellist Julian Steckel will take on Shostakovich’s challenging Concerto No. 1.

As a critical race cultural historian, Dr. Morgan specializes in American art and visual culture. Her interdisciplinary research concentrates primarily on historic African-American women artists, however her curatorial work often examines, critiques and theorizes the ways in which American artists, art objects, art history and art institutions both challenge and support the systematic mechanisms of anti-Black violence and oppression in the United States.

As winter days slowly lengthen into spring, the Telos Trio, guest artists from The Hochstein School in New York, invite you to celebrate the gathering light with them in a program of chamber music and spoken word designed to warm cold-weary spirits. Featured on the concert will be music of Bach, Cavallini, Emmanuel, Debussy, and del Aquila.

Jiménez-Flores is a Mexican born artist who creates socio-political work that explores themes of colonization, migration (voluntary or involuntary), “the other,” stereotypes and cultural appropriation. During his visit to DePauw, Jiménez-Flores will present a public lecture about his art practice, visit classes, and offer critiques for studio art majors. He will also invite the campus and broader community to participate in Tortilla Social, a participatory art project that uses a multi-functional tortilla press as a printmaking tool for self-expression, advocacy, art education, and food as a uniter of community.

Eric LeMay is the author of four books, including the digital collection Essays on the Essay and Other Essays (Zone 3 Press, 2017). He has taught writing at Harvard, Columbia, and the University of Chicago. He is currently on the faculty of the writing program at Ohio University. He serves as an associate editor for the New Ohio Review and is also a host on the New Books Network. His work has appeared in The Paris Review, Gastronomica, Creative Nonfiction, Diagram, Poetry Daily, the Best Food Writing series, and other venues.

Eric LeMay is a guest of Dinty Moore, the Mary Rogers Field and Marion Field McKenna Distinguished University Professor of Creative Writing.
